Why we started

We were born and raised here. Montreal’s strength has always been its neighbourhoods and the multicultural mix of small businesses that keep them alive. MTLQC started as a way to give those businesses more visibility, and it grew into a place where Montrealers come every morning to make sense of their city.

Where the facts come from

The reporting is done by Montreal’s newsrooms, and we link to them whenever we discuss their work. Our job is the conversation around the news: context, explanation and a point of view.
