The Montreal Transit Corporation unveiled on Monday the giant 9.7-meter-wide tunnel boring machine that will dig the tunnels for the extension of the Blue Metro line from the future Vertières station to Anjou station, a distance of 4.6 kilometers. Excavation will begin in April and continue until 2028 with one of the largest tunnel boring machines of its kind in the world.
